But we also understand the job fear. The panic of ‘What if I can’t find a job and have to fly back to Bumblefudge to live in my childhood bedroom?'. So, to account for both ends of the freedom/fear job scale, we include the option of interviewing for a job before you go. Or when you land. And actually, for the whole of your working holiday visa. Job done.

What does pre-vetted mean?
The reality is, some seasonal work can be sketchy. Where backpackers are paid way below the minimum wage, with the promise of perks such as free meals and accommodation to supplement illegal wages. That was never going to work for us. Every employer on our Job Hub has been pre-vetted by our team. For our employers: they must be a registered business, hold employers' liability insurance, have a written health and safety policy, pay at least the national or state minimum wage, and if they offer staff housing, it must be at a reasonable rate. For our travellers: every JENZA working holidaymaker or intern is sent a feedback form after two weeks so that any issues can be flagged and worked out. We also have a zero tolerance policy, where we won’t hesitate to end an employer relationship if it’s in the best interests of our travellers.

We work with 20+ leading ski resorts across Canada to provide 4-6 month winter or summer season jobs for our Jen-setters - some of which only hire for their seasonal staff through organisations like JENZA.
Winter hiring usually opens in Apr/May, and summer hiring in January - you must have your Canada working holiday visa to interview though, so we suggest entering the visa pools as soon as they open in Dec/Jan each year. Here are some of the employers you can expect to see on our Job Hub.
