Work and travel in Canada

The mountains called. They said: why work at home when you could be working in waterfront Vancouver or on the slopes in Whistler? Those hills don’t lie.

We include a 4-6 month summer or ski season job. Good work!

When can I go

Canada is an amazing all-rounder. In fact, if we weren’t so obsessed, we may not be friends. In the winter (Nov-Feb) the hills are alive with some of the world’s best skiing and ski jobs. And come summer, those same resorts become adventure playgrounds for hikers, bikers, climbers and seasonal workers. So year-round, there’s no shortage of jobs.

How much can I earn

The minimum wage differs per state or province, with Alberta, Ontario and British Colombia all around the CAD $15 mark, plus tips where applicable. Most of our pre-arranged ski and summer season employers include subsidised staff accommodation (around $400-600 per month), meals on shift, and perks such as discounted lift passes and lessons.

Where can I go

Most working holidaymakers tend to fly into Vancouver or Toronto where we include a five-night package to get you set up and settled in. If you’ve pre-arranged a seasonal job with us, you can then head out to the slopes. Or Canada’s cities are equally as cool for casual or career work – with an epic food and music scene, plus weekend access to national parks.

All seasons

Working in Canada is always in season

There’s a reason why Canada routinely ranks as one of the most liveable places in the world. And it’s not just because the national dish is fries, cheese curd and gravy. (Although personally, we feel this has a lot to do with it). The combination of humorous locals, wildly cultural cities and wildlife-filled landscapes knock most countries out of the national park.
