Panorama is a large family-friendly summer and winter resort offering tree-lined runs, ski-in ski-out accommodation and over 2,900 acres of terrain to carve up. The skiing here is unique in that the treeline goes all the way to the summit of the mountain – so expect epic scenery as you career downhill. There's plenty of long, quiet runs whatever your expertise – plus incredible hot springs right on the slopes. Once the snow melts in the spring, you’ll find one of the country’s best mountain biking parks as well as quad biking, hiking and whitewater rafting. While Panorama might lack the clout of some of its B.C. cousins like Whistler, it also lacks some of the crowds – making it a great place to ski and work the season. (Did we also mention the free staff lift pass?). A vast and friendly resort with over 130 well-groomed runs catering to all levels, there’s a great ski school for beginners and off-piste action for pros. Plus heli-skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating and snowmobiling. One of the biggest draws lies slopeside in the form of Canada’s largest on-hill hot springs – perfect for a soak after a day of skiing or riding.

Panorama is an all-season resort. So, if you fall head over snowshoes for its charms, you can stay and work for the summer – or vice versa. As well as some pretty epic hikes, you’ve got some of the best mountain biking trails in the whole region here – as well as a life-accessed bike park. Add in rafting, golf, tennis, outdoor mountain yoga and quad biking and you can see why we can’t get enough of this spot – whatever the season. They’ve even got a ‘mountain coaster’ – AKA charging down the mountain at speeds of up to 40km per hour.

"I’m slightly bias as I did my season at Pano! As a proper alpine village resort vs a town where you transfer to the hill, it has a friendly feel – so it’s great if you’re travelling solo. And because of the range of jobs available – both mountain and hospitality – it's equally good if you’re looking to get hired with mates. You also get a free lift pass – so as well as having less crowded runs for experienced skiers on days off, it’s also a non-scary place to learn to ski! We also had reciprocal riding rights or discounted passes to neighbouring resorts, like Revelstoke.”
